I worked as a marketing intern in GE China energy. Most of the days I went to work around 8 am and went home at 5 pm. In the days I learned the GE spirit, the marketing principles and other techs like SWOT and schedule activities, help mentor to gather information and deal with sundries. What worth mentioning is that here I learned the responsibility of marketing in large enterprise is not only to build corporation image but also truly benefit the society (A lesson given by my mentor. When I recommended to use poster to advertise our volunteer activity, he told me that).
The environment at GE was comfortable. My table was located near the sales department and I could see all the sales manager negotiating, networking and meeting via phone(Another thing I learned in GE, later I also organized a teleconference by my self) . They are busy all day long but very fun when I talked with them. I also participated a sales training in GE, learned a lot and want to learn more.
The hardest part in GE is to maintain the high standard of my job. Everything must be almost perfect (including the PPT I made). Because, as an intern, I represent the whole company.
And on the other hand, all the challenging is also the most enjoyable part. Thanks to GE for giving me such a experience.
