The degree of an IKEA store’s operational success largely depends on the speed, accuracy and service provided at the check-out area. A lasting positive impression is made by well-managed checkouts manned with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful cashiers who work together with customers.
The Cashier has the responsibility to actively create a last positive impression for visitors and customers so as to create the conditions for a successful shopping experience through securing the highest possible level of customer service in checkout area.
The Cashier reports to Cashier Team Leader.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
Secure last positive impression for the customers
Be aware and emphasis that the Check Out area is the last stop for the majority of the visitors & customer
To secure a good waiting time and follow up system in the checkouts area to support an efficient service to visitors/customers
Offer accurate information to customers regarding IKEA family, aftersales services, etc.
Ensure all the purchases are registered effectively and provide different payment methods to customers at their convenience
Ensure an accurate cash flow by extremely following up systems, methods and guidelines stated in IKEA Manuals and Rules & Guidelines
Have a strong sense of Safety & Security and take responsibility to prevent any thieveries through checkout area
Keep a high SISAN level at the working area
Have experience of retail cashier or have Cashier Certificate is a prefer
Give customers good last impression
