Job Title: Sourcing Agent (Apparel & Garden Products)

About Us: We are a dynamic direct-to-consumer brand focused on delivering high-quality apparel and outdoor products. Our primary markets include apparel and garden-related goods. We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Agent based in China who has a proven track record in the apparel industry and ideally also experience with garden products.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Agent to manage the procurement process for our growing product lines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the apparel industry, supply chain management, and manufacturing in China, with a preference for experience in garden products as well. You will be responsible for sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and manufacturers for apparel and garden products.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.
• Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
• Collaborate with the product development team to source materials that meet design and functional requirements.
• Manage and optimize supply chain logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
• Stay informed of market trends and shifts in pricing, product availability, and emerging suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and product performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams to manage inventory levels and anticipate future product needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the sourcing and procurement process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, with a focus on apparel and (preferably) garden products.
• Proven track record of working with manufacturers and suppliers in China.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish long-term partnerships with suppliers.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with e-commerce and DTC brands.
• Knowledge of eco-friendly materials and sustainable sourcing practices.
• Familiarity with both small and large-scale production runs.
