Good first-experience with customer and sales interaction

I was able to improve communication skills working the costumers throughout my time working at Banana Republic. I was also taught to understand whats current with out clothing line and how to operate different positions whether it be sales associates or working behind the register.

缺点

Management was a bit inflexible to work schedules and did not discuss pay prior to hire.

Fun and simple job

It's a pretty simple job, but the pay can be pretty low. Most people are cool. A straightforward job with easy tasks, credit cards are pushed but it is not over the top. Management is pretty nice.

I would recommend !

I would recommend as a transit job, pt or as a high schooler to work here. Flexible hours, great discount and decent pay. I do not think it is a forever job. As management can be alright.

Fun work environment, fast paced, never boring. Very poor compensation.

The team at Banana Republic is the best part of your workday. Management is very focused on store appearance and sales. There is always a variety of projects to work on so your shift flies by. Very busy evenings, weekends, and holidays. Very low compensation. Management barely makes over minimum wage.

Great Management

Cool managers, great clothes, good atmosphere and benefits. Get people to sign up for credit cards and get a bonus. Gets really crazy during holidays.

Fun workplace

I personally loved working at banana Republic because I love selling and my advice would be, if you don't like selling or the confidence to push for a sell, not taking no for an answer and always finding alternatives, this is going to be a tough job for you since folding clothes is the least of the team's worries. They give good hours and the team is very positive and supportive!

Positive work environment with fair pay, somewhat fast-paced environment at times. Good for gaining experience in retail and styling with higher-end pieces intended for a specific audience .

Gap Inc is a wonderful company. It’s is very inclusive and understands it’s employees and customers. I’d recommend working with them anytime. Great experience!

Fun draining workplace

the most enjoyable part is with coworkers. I learned alot.Management was okay. Very Flexible working environment but no work-life balance.-all black casual fit.- hardest part was the holidays

Fun workplace, very demanding goals

Enjoyed my time spent working with coworkers and managers there as I felt I part of a team, but they can sometimes be strict with some of their policies and meeting certain quotas.

A Good Typical Retail Job

Tasks were pretty basic for my role:- Welcome customers in - Handle transactions - Help customers with finding the right clothes - Push any current promotions - organize the store by folding and arranging the layout of the clothes, both in front and back of houseThat was the typical work day. Of course, it felt boring when it was slow and there was no one to help or nothing to do except fold clothes. Management and co-workers were all very lovely people to work with at my location!

they train you on customer service, team building and organizational skills. i enjoyed that every shift they had a Sale’s Goal and it gives you the motivation to go above and beyond for customers.

Love my coworkers

I like working here. Just wish the dress code wasn't so strict. Made alot of friends so can't complain too much. Never will be hired as full time though so don't expect benefits.

Productive and lots of customer service required.

Seasonal staff should have the opportunity to work after the holidays. Part-time hours should be important to the company when hiring.I was not impressed by how they treat staff. Management needs to have better interaction with their part/full workers.

Fun job, always a task to do

I learned on my own that successful part-time people were given more hours, different responsibilities and more flexibility. More hours = more pay and better bonuses.There was always a customer to help, something to fold, clean or prepare.Staying busy made time pass quickly so I didn't have a to think about my low wages.

Great place to work and a diverse work community. There is always something to learn and opportunities to grow within the company. Overall great experience.

Great place to work.

The manager and the other staff are very nice. I really enjoyed my job there. I felt at home and I just really enjoyed shopping there too.Great employee discounts and flexible hours.

Straightforward

Product knowledge training was done every month where you go over the upcoming styles, fits, fabrics & try them on. Good discount. Workplace culture was cliquey, but everyone was friendly for the most part. I usually worked closing so the shift would be focused on cleaning up the store & trying to sell as much as you can with those late night shoppers. Holidays were always busy but they would provide food.

Good high school job

I worked her in high school and it was a great job, with great people. They had goals, but it is not like there was any problem if they were not hit as long as you were doing your job. I loved working there.

What is the best part of working at the company?Assisting the clients is always the best part of working in retailWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Over worked and underpaid! The company is also consistently going through transitions and can't seem to align on one path. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?I would have to say the it differs from store to store (of course) however the DC market always lacks healthy culture and a team oriented environment .
