I was able to improve communication skills working the costumers throughout my time working at Banana Republic. I was also taught to understand whats current with out clothing line and how to operate different positions whether it be sales associates or working behind the register.

缺点

Management was a bit inflexible to work schedules and did not discuss pay prior to hire.

great place but bad management

Place was good to work at but wouldn’t give more pay to u if u asked even if they “appreciate” you. Working are good and fun to work with and schedule is very easy. Management is a little rough and needed to hire more people.

Boring and tiring

The work place used to be fun and everyone got along.Now management is trying to change everything and super confusin.The managers never know what’s going on and are not on the same page.It’s day is a different vide some days it’s ok and then some days terrible.There’s a lot of favoritism.

Work if you want to be thrown in there

Management needs improvement as they love to throw you in there without any formal training. Especially on my first day, let alone my first job. Would not recommend this job to anyone.

Fun place to work because of coworkers and customers. But you can find that at other places for better pay. Not worth it.

Eh first job for someone young, pay isn't great at all for price of clothing. Clothes are mass produced, overpriced, quality isn't great as well. Honestly it's OK for someone who has no work experience and or is a broke college student, but you can still find better.

Switch and Bait

VM was less than 8hrs a wk.Cashing- obtaining loyalty rewards, go backs, fitting rooms, customer service, ship from store, cleaning and recovery.If you are friends, family or know anyone that works here, you will be fine. If not, good luck.

Ok place to work - full of expectations

For the pay this company has- it is not worth it. I’m not sure why a company like banana republic can’t pay their workers more. Employees literally hustle for cards and loyalties and if you can’t exceed your managers expectations then there’s a problem. I loved my team but the problem wasn’t with the people working there it’s the every Friday Visit of the district manager that had everybody always on their toes. Banana republic makes it seem like we’re Gucci and we’re not. Not for the pay we’re not. To much responsibilities that did not make up for the pay. Why work here if you can double your salary elsewhere with less responsibilities. Nevertheless, good benefits, great team. Good place to work as a part time associate. Not FULL TIME.

It's not okay. Only there for the people.

First off we are understaffed. Favoritism is clear with a few being able to getaway with things and have better pay even if you have been there longer. Pay is minimum wage starting which is fine but when when the minimum goes up they don't raise it unless you ask for it while the new hires get the new minimum. They didn't give a probation interview and only with constant asking they'll give a couple cent increase (they didn't even tell me about the increase I found out looking at the pay stub). When asking about retro pay/composition for those times the manager doesn't really do anything to help and only gives you the number for HR. Even then HR doesn't help. Although the management are nice they don't make you feel apricated and if you call out due to family matters or health issues (depending if others had called out) you would still have to come in. Even if the store does really well they extra money doesn't go to the employees; perhaps for food and snacks but that's it.Honestly if they want better outcome from their employees pay us more, make us feel appreciated, and don't mention things that you can't fulfil.

No work life balance. Work load is heavy.

The company likes to overwork employees. Very early mornings and very late nights. Always heavy shipment and never enough help. Very little opportunities to move up.

Ok place to work but management is terrible

All employees were amazing and wonderful people and its a lovely place to work however management is terrible. Work schedules are all over the place and offer no stability or ability to plan your life and the managers micromanage. They listen to every conversation you have with people and make assumptions instead of asking and are very condescending. If you don't know something about a product they tell you that you should have done your research and make you feel terrible instead of helping you and advancing your understanding.

Appalling Management

Store Manager is a big problem, result being employees quit constantly. After an encounter w the SM, valued Longterm employees have walked right off the floor. Very poor pay in comparison to the other retail stores in same mall. Fabulous clothes though and great employee discounts.

Boring

I honestly didn't enjoy working in here, most of the workers are not friendly the management sucks. The only time I enjoyed working is when 3-4 of my classmates are also working with me.

A pretty good place to work at

only worked there for like a month so I don't really have much of experience. In general, it's a good company to work at for part-time position, they have really good discount for employees.

Good

It was a productive place with good coworkers. Also they were very willing to work with your own schedule. They were also willing to make changes to the schedule when the hours were not working for me.

When I started 3 years ago management was amazing, as I advanced up into management it was very supportive. After the 2 previous general manager is left they brought in someone new and everything when down hill and became very negative. They threaten to demote you and fire you, and to make you feel worthless. I do not recommend working there!

Great culture, They make sure to utilize your strengths!

Nice company. Room to advance if that's what you're looking for/striving for. For the most part, they're flexible...You will have many managers which = lot's of personalities which can be difficult to juggle at times but all-and-all a good place to work.

They appreciate and use your strengths and work with you on your weaknesses.

The pay rate needs to be re-visited by corporate!!

Met a lot of cool people and gained some great styling skills. It has 50% employee discount in regular store and 30% in an outlet. Black only dress code
