Indeed 所选最有帮助的评论I spent a whole year in BDO and I appreciate the firm gave me an excellent opportunity to actually learn the real world auditing as soon as I graduate. But I have to say that the culture there is only appreciate hard working and totally no communication. I was outside city auditing a big company for more than one month, and during the whole month, we worked from 7:00 in the morning to 11:00 at night. I believe not every group did their work like this because when I switch to another team to audit another company, we were productive.
But still, it was a good place to learn new things, and I like learning.

Workload

As an audit trainee, first month was went well and it was easy for me to handle the work. Then starts second month they give overload work and expect me to work as an experienced audit. Although work is from 8.30am to 5.30pm but still sometimes you have to do overtime.

BDO LLP as an employer leaves much to be desired, and I cannot express enough my deep dissatisfaction and negative feelings about my experience with them. Let me elaborate on the numerous issues that make this company an incredibly frustrating and unfair place to work.Firstly, one of the most glaring problems at BDO LLP is their abysmal compensation structure. On average, they bill employees at a staggering 10 times their actual salary. This means that despite putting in countless hours of hard work and dedication, we are grossly underpaid for the value we bring to the company. It's an exploitative practice that only benefits the company's bottom line, while disregarding the well-being and financial security of their employees.Adding insult to injury, the salaries at BDO LLP are shockingly low across the board. What's even more infuriating is the fact that they pay recent graduates salaries that are comparable to, or even lower than, those given to individuals who have not pursued higher education. This completely devalues the efforts and investments made by graduates to attain a degree. It's an injustice that the pay off for obtaining a degree is practically non-existent within this organization, thanks to the misguided decision-making of the CEO, who himself is a school leaver.

The staff shortage forced junior to be seniors - everyone got major promotions with a lack of understanding the higher positions. Communication on a manager level and up is horrendous. Hours are long but expected, so no gripe there. As for teaching - this is not a career to expect to get spoon-fed, pretty normal. Way to many trainings compared to other firms. Baltimore used to be a different firm, so many employees only see eye to eye with past workers, this is an issue that starts from the top.

Lots of work overtime and not paid
Salary is low and overtime work is not paid. Lots of work to do with not enough time. They offer a training which is good but not enough. You can learn a lot.

Good company to work for

Best company I have worked for in the private sector. Management lead by example. You have to work hard but they look after you. I really enjoyed my time at this company and was genuinely sad to leave. They also give a good service to their clients so I was proud to work for them.
