NEW YOR K Hostile work environment

i go in with good smile and attitude leave runing out the door. Bad attitudes co workers no one happy. Management no good if you call them takes days to get back to you . There jokes are hurting you have skills they pick women or younger and give you bottom job with no notice,There is no fun anymore everyone runs out when they done management are just not nice that is owners tech managers, schedulers, and everyone above. They also if you leave been there for 20 years wont give you severance pay.

Lots of Growth

Very busy and hectic hours - but lots of growth opportunity here. Very nice people who mainly want to see you learn and grow in your passions. Pay is better than some other companies as well.

You work with a lot of different from all walks of life. They are an extension of your Family embrace that

Fast Pace fun your always doing something. Some days more than others. You may deal with a damper that won’t open or close or a leak that’s in A data center. And you run into celebrities all the time. Who are in my experience great kind people. And our HR department is full of PROFESSIONAL hardworking for the people experts.

Fun and exciting work, but stressful and demanding

Working in news is fun, exciting, different every day... you meet interesting and famous people, politicians etc. The downside is your work is never over, there’s a ton of pressure to perform constantly, and it feels like a rat race.

Busy news hub where things can change at any instant.

Manageable workload that gets busier as we get closer to broadcast. Good management that will not hesitate to ask you to stay late if necessary. Big age difference in co-workers.

Interesting Internship

The intern class is small so you get to know everyone and build relationships when group activities come up. However, in your own department you will probably be the only intern. The work environment was great and there was a lot of opportunity to learn and get involved.

CBS continues to be a toxic environment for the past three decades. This is not a company that promotes women or educational, opportunities - it is one that feeds on itself to the bones.

Fast paced work environment with interesting challenges

I enjoyed building the broadcast marketing unit within CBS News. The job entailed interacting with all of the broadcasts; correspondents; news directors and general managers all with an eye to building audience for the CBS News broadcasts. As Unit Director, I was able to recruit young talent and develop them so that they would be ready for promotion outside of my Unit. A fun challenging place to work.

Great place to work for finance department

Heavy typing of commercials. Doing accounts receivable and payables. Mailing all checks for clients on a daily basis. Doing weekly time sheets and maintaining attendance and records of days off for staff. Screened and directed high volume of phone calls. Making travel arrangements and preparing expense reports for Controller and Directors.

Traditional and old-school at times, but good company to work for. Need to work to understand how viewers' preferences are changing rapidly and that we're not living in the 80's or 90's anymore.
