I liked working here everyone was very nice and training was easy it would be long hours and could be time consuming at times it’s a great way to start

Only a decent place if you like to see nice / different cars

Work load for the pay is not worth it at all. As a ASA you will basically have to have Knowledge on just about every other job there and help every other department yet you don’t get the same help. Managers and certain favored employees live by different rules than the everyone else and when it’s brought to attention nothing is done about it or worse you become a target . Very nice cars come in all the time and that’s just about it the best part of the job but management likes to save higher end cars for themself to drive or their favorite employees . Also speeding on the lot is on acceptable when you are certain managers or dealers . No rules are followed to the tea , only when higher management is around but it’s all for show

They are really transitioning from work from home

It’s a hybrid position and now slowly making everyone go into office. It is a great job as you are really trained and supported by managers in the role. The pay increase does not keep up with inflation.

Horrible

Treated horrible and belittled by every other department. Especially sales, the service ops side of things as a whole is treated horrible. Job itself isn't hard but a lot of responsibilities.

Great Location

Very good hours, team is strong and bonded. Management is very understanding and seeks to help out the team to achieve goals. There is limited growth in this department given there is only Parts Associate, Retail Parts Specialist and Parts Manager.

Working on production

You have a quota to meet daily and it runs like an assembly line. The pay tops out pretty low. Upper mechanics are arrogant. When sales are low hours get cut, good luck living. The environment was uncomfortable and unethical. Some employees were harassed regularly.

productive place, great people, flexible schedule

working here is fun, wash cars, help porters bring in cars and pick up cars they’re taking. all of the employees and leads are mostly chill. good work environment all around.

Terrible 😣

Terrible place to work at a lot of favoritism. Everyone has their own clique within the shop if you don’t fall within that group, you don’t matter. The company doesn’t care about you they care about numbers which it is a production facility. It doesn’t matter if you’re sick. If you have medical documentation they don’t care if you don’t have the sick time you’re given points until you’re terminated but I didn’t wait until that point I’m quitting. I wouldn’t recommend working in this place to anyone.

Micromanaging

Working at this company has been an incredibly challenging and demoralizing experience due to their excessive use of micromanagement. I cannot stress enough how this approach has made it the worst place I’ve ever worked.Micromanagement here is not just a part of the management style; it’s the foundation of it. Every aspect of your work is closely scrutinized and controlled, leaving no room for autonomy or creativity. It feels as if employees are treated as robots, not professionals with valuable insights and skills.

Lots of Work but Lots of Reward

Overall, it was a great place to work with good people, benefits, and time off policies - if you're salaried. The work could often be too much with unrealistic expectations and the systems are so old.

Management is supportive and they will meet with you to help you achieve your goals. They provide great training and can help with one-on-one issues. I truly enjoyed my time there, and I would recommend this company to anyone as a great place to start.

I loved working for Carmax, lots of overtime opportunities.

I was an Inventory Associate and I became really good at my job that they made me a trainer to train the new hires which was a wonderful experience, I was only there for 4 months but if I could go back and choose not to quit I would've it was honestly the most fun job I have ever had, you are constantly walking, climbing in and out of vehicles and learning more about the company and advancements. You definitely get your workout here which is amazing.

High pay, overworked

It was good pay and benefits but I definitely felt overworked at times. Pay and benefits are a huge plus. They pay more than most entry-level positions. And they have lots of benefits, not just health insurance. However, it's a big company and they expect work output to be high. Be prepared for long hours and working weekends. Most of the people in technology kept to themselves. Culture is typical for a large company.

Toxic

This was a great place to work especially since it was remote but then they decided to make changes and add new policies and have you sign them (more like pressure you) and then layoff half of the company but hide it under “not adhering to certain policies” to not ring any alarms to the Labor department.

Eh

A lot of rules and policies for only 17 an hour. Store wide bonus instead of commission which sucks. You can work hard but if everybody is not having a good week sales wise you are not having a good week. Fine place to pad your resume.
