Proceed with caution with management company. Hilton discounts are great. Management company is where the questions remain. Great breakfast for employees.

A good place to start in hotel industry.

What is the best part of working at the company?At the moment I work there the flexible schedule work/life balance was great!What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Conflict mediation with co workers. But at the end of day there are always a solution.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Diverse environment. The would be several generations boomers, gen x , millenias and genz.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Shift briefing and pending tasks. Then you follow up.

I love working for Hilton (Embassy Suites San Diego La Jolla. My experience with management has been professional and supportive. My co-workers are positive and very good at what they do.If you enjoy customer interaction and a very pleasant work environment, come on over to the Embassy Suites San Diego La Jolla and join our team.

Always short staffed

I started working there over a year ago and they were severely short staffed and now they are still short staffed. Had 2 bad managers who rarely showed up for work and then quit without telling anyone. On a plus, I have 2 great supervisors who are there when I have a problem.

Interesting and engaging

Nice place to work professional atmosphere. Nice staff and plenty of returning guest. Some issues will arise that are not foreseen so you have to be a quick thinker and a problem solver. Be willing to get involved with guest and sometimes metro pd.Security concerns as well as valet issues. Be willing to work overtime and outside of your hired role.The team is dynamic and helpful. But you might have to take the initiative and work outside the box to ensure that the guest has a trouble free stay. Keep emergency numbers handy.ake sure that you log events for the next shift and management. Don't be star struck if a popular personality checks in. Happens every now and then.

Decent work life balance

Terrible management company that doesn’t care about its employees. You’re just another number at this location. There are few positives like the pay rate but for the level of drama it’s not worth it.

I would recommend a snake cause that's all that's up there

Embassy Suites downtown Amarillo is the worst hotel I ever worked for. Management doesn't know what they're doing. People are always taking multiple days off which leaves other employees high and dry. They constantly want to over work you and never up your pay. Embassy Suites can't keep employees cause of poor management. After this job I'm retiring from the work force for good. I can't deal with another company and their bs.

Excellent wirkplace

Very fast paced but fun. Self management is necessary. All shifts are scheduled with two people. It’s easy to work for a beautiful brand. Especially, when you love the parent Company!!! I love Hilton !

Reputation Precedes Itself

Current front desk management is incredible. Everything else about this experience is a horror show. An unbelievable amount of disregard for safety and zero integrity runs rampant throughout the property. There's zero accountability for the decisions made that negatively impact operations.

No personal life

I work 60+ hours weekly. They are understaffed and refuse to hire more working all of their good employees to death. The pay is also substantial so you have to love what you do.

the Hilton brand Embassy was amazing as far as hospitality overall. the management company needs to match the Hilton brand.

the Hilton brand Embassy was amazing as far as hospitality overall. the management company needs to match the Hilton brand. Promises of advancement are given to get you in the door. Two months still no uniform and you are required to do at least 3 other positions outside of your own. Overworked and underpaid tangled in broken promises.

Quiet nights

I like working the slow nights at the hotel. Busy nights were not as fun but the consistent new visitors kept it entertaining. I would work a similar position at another time.

Very good company to work for aswesome staff

This company had to be the best to work for awesome staff and management from the restaurant to the front desk. When they say "we are a team" they really mean it . They actually take the time to fix your mistakes without getting upset they just correct you and make sure you understand it so you can be comfortable . The holidays are the best! You meet guest from all parts of the world. By far the best company I ever worked for.

You become a member, get half off stay even traveling you can stay at any of their hotels. Always get out on time.

Professionalism /fun balance

Embassy is a great place to work. I enjoyed my time there. The management is very flexible and easy going. As well as promoting the hilton brand standard. Great experience to leran and grow within the hilton brand.

Covid related issues

The hospitality industry has changed drastically due to covid-19. So that means if there were any slight problems or issues at a hotel, the manifestation of them doubled the amount. Understaffing and a poor lack of management communication before the pandemic became a typical daily occurrence. While a property retains several great employees, outweighed by the larger number of individuals showing up to get a check.
