high- intensity enviroment

The resources are still very rich, usually, there will be a full range of training, often there will be a variety of experts to share, and there are many useful and expensive database access. Colleagues and bosses around are very nice, willing to help you, and often give you some feedback and practical experience. Maybe it’s the commonality of consulting. The culture of the team is very relaxed and open, there are not many OTs, and it is easy to find work-life balance (I finally know the reason for the low pay hhh), there are many team building activities, every one after work Hi together. One of my favourite things is that the workstations are fluid, so I go early every day just to get a good spot...As an intern, I feel like I'm valued at GSG. Everyone will treat you as a regular employee, and they will entrust you to do very core tasks, invite you to attend various conferences and events, take you to meet customers, go to client sites, participate in projects, and even go on business trips. And we will arrange a one-to-one buddy and PM for you, a special intern coordinator, and a secretary to help you with all the administrative work...

Very comfortable working environment.

Productive but a little streeful work

Although I only worked there for almost two months, the large loads of work that I need to do is still like the thing happened yesterday. However, what is a relief is that all the colleagues are very nice. They always stay at your back and help you out of some troubles. To summarize, it is really a meaningful but challenging place for interns.

If you don't care about work-life balance, this is the place

Very hierarchical, fast-paced, high competitive working environment. Tough culture. Don't fall for what they said on the website. 80% turnover rate for the first 2-3 years. Unfair performance evaluation system, based on who is close with managers.

Broadened horizen in KPMG

As my first internship, the work at KPMG brought a lot to me. First, I enhanced my communication skills and gained massive professional knowledge by attending real discussions on client issues and tax policies. Second, my colleagues were friendly and willing to teach me how to use a variety of sought-after business analytics tools. Furthermore, I was asked to lead the Social Responsibility Team to local middle schools and film bases so as to publicize KPMG's engagement in social work.

Effective but stressed

Doing research on and analyzing local and international tax laws and policies are main duties for a tax consultant. Almost four years of the Tax Consultant role both in Deloitte and KPMG focused on data analysis and international law research has developed strong problem-solving, technology and interpersonal skills.Team work, effective cooperation skills and being a good leader are also three important qualities I have learnt during this period. The hardest part of being a great tax consultant is to quickly catch up with and deeply analyze updatest information in financial and political markets, but it is always enjoyable when doing analysis of these different information with great team members.

Learning from the pros!

The great thing about KPMG is I was able to learn about proven process and procedures for effective deal management in M&A, valuation, modeling and deal negotiations. I was also able to build our PE Group in China and learned Mandarin Chinese in the process

KPMG is a really great place to work.

Most groups started at 10 am and have lunch at 11:50 am. People mostly have lunch in the Oriental Plaza. It is really fun to work in and is a great place to learn things.
