No doubt this is the easiest factory to work at when compared to other manufacturing jobs but the leadership here is unbelievably childish, do as I say, not as I do kind of mentality, mainly with the phone usage.

Interesting workplace

Lots of bumps and scrapes to get right but overall it is a pretty relaxed working environment. Remote work is pretty much just franchising something. Your scheduler, mechanic, parts, and service manager all rolled into one.

The work is easy but the people that work there, especially the management/team leads are awful. Seems like your working with people who hate America! Sad part, your put on a NDA. Not safe!

Benefits

All around good company to work for management is fair ! You will learn lots of tasks some engineering work tech work and team member work I started off in area 1 and ended up working the whole module line it did not take long at all to learn the tasks !

You will never know what time you are working till. Family / life does not matter they want you there more than anything else. Most gets injured fast without the company caring.

Fun workplace

Great company and will only get better with time and experience.I would recommend to friend . Rivian is a growing company and soon they will be a powerhouse in the EV sector.

Has its pros and cons

The benefits RIVIAN has are great! Competitive pay and great insurance. The downfall is RIVIAN is very unorganized. It is very hard to have a personal life while working at RIVIAN due to you either working 4+ 12’s a week or 6 8 hour shifts a week.

Worst company to work for.

Management is horrible. No work life balance and when they write you up it’s a finally. No structure. They do not care about the customers. Environment is horrible. Very stressful.

Misogynistic and Xenophobic Work Environment

Definitely the worst place I ever worked at. From the outside everything looks nice, but on the inside it’s a nightmare.90% of the people I worked with weren’t happy. Unqualified men make much more than qualified women at this company. Boys’ club. Everyone talks bad about the company because managers have no idea what they’re doing. Decisions are changed every day several times a day. Definitely a waste of my time. It damaged my career path.

Some group leads are amazing, understanding and can relate to you. Others think they are better then you. The team leads were always amazing and down to earth.

Definitely has its pros and cons.

This is a good job if you are wanting quick, easy money, but this is not a long-term job. I work with Rivian for about 3 months. It took me only a couple weeks to realize this job was not for me. I worked in the battery department in the Pack Line. I knew almost every other job in the department before I knew how do to my line. The management in my line was a joke. They were power driven, and you could tell. It was almost like they did not care what you had to say.

It's OK

It's a wage packet. Typical line working environment, don't have great expectations then you wont be disappointed. Lunches are short, very clean canteen but its to far away from my work station to make it in 30 minutes,

Good until they fired 1000 people

Was fun. It was a pretty good run I did love it as my favorite job but when they went public the shareholders didn’t like the copious burning of cash so tons of people lost their jobs

Okay place over all

Being brand new they have company policies but no in depth training for scheduling just do whatever works best for you with the time you're there. Customers don't have set pickup and drop off times. Could work out much better if there was a program to coordinate scheduling and a place where call center can put notes front and center for when calls are made. Be kind to your technicians and they will have your back.

Fast paced / Results driven / Fair Mgt.

Service Shop going through start up growing pains. People in the shop are amazing. Mgt has the tough job of balancing unrealistic goals and keeping the techs appreciated and not overworked.

Slave place that don’t care

I’ll make it simple they went from having people on a decent schedule that’s a good balance to now having people scheduled 5 days one week and 6 the next but they mandatory overtime to where u are working 6 days a week and bout time u finish ur 6th day you have no time with family. They only listen to people who wear suits instead of the people when wear boots and do the job. It’s decent pay but you you account for the gas to get here it’s not at all

Exciting product, passionate people

Really cool product, some people there who are really passionate about what they're doing. Work-life-balance varies per team. Office was decent, free snacks, "discounted" lunch that was still pretty expensive.Clear budget cuts in some areas of the office (downgrading monitors, removing some snack options, etc.)

Good place to work if you have nothing better to do

Started this job with high hopes. Started off great and leadership promised the world of opportunities. That was short lived. I ended up flown around the US with no warning and expected to stay away from home for weeks. Gave up weekends, holidays and even worked insane amount of overtime. Management is a joke. 6 managers to manage 1 shop. No one knows what they are doing. Turnover is ridiculously high. Not to mention an extremely punitive environment. Very little training, and if you do get any training youll have to basically live in another state for a while. This company definitely flirts with the labor laws big time with working through lunches and even breaks. Dont get sick too much or youll get questioned. Use up all your PTO or sick and you may get disciplined or even let go. None of this is said on your exhausting interview process and the job description Is not what youll ACTUALLY do. The people in general are great people. Ive made good friends none the less. The company bends over backwards for the entitled customers who buy these vehicles and the ones who deal with the aftermath are the good people working there.
