Overworked and Neglected
You are lucky if management remotely cares about running the store fairly and reasonably. Corporate actively incentives managers to operate with the least amount of care and effort while demanding 110% from every employee below them.
优点
Healthcare; Employee discounts
缺点
Toxic and unsafe workplace; Terrible company culture; Intentional, severe understaffing

Fun part time job
The free coffee and free drinks are a great perk. Customers can be difficult to please and management was always accommodating. A fun place to work but could not do it long term.

Too much politics in upper management
Upper management was not connected to actual day to day business. Too political. More Interested in a dog and pony show when visiting stores. Upper management doesn't listen.
优点
Decent salary
缺点
Too stressful. No support

Hated it.
I worked for starbucks for about 5 years (different stores). The pay is bad, the customers are entitled and rude, which isnt worth for the customers who are super sweet. never got more than 20-30 hours working there and thats if it was busy. Managers suck. i loved making coffee but honestly going to a independent owned coffee company is better. they are very LGBTQ+ friendly which is nice.
优点
free lunch, free coffee
缺点
short breaks, bad customers, bad managers and no hours

So many call outs and staff showing up late or not coming in. No help from higher ups and expectation of doing the most with no help. Was talked down to a lot and given write ups when not even scheduled working on day of incident

Fast Paced; and high customer volume
The rewarding part of the job is the relationships you can make with coworkers and some customers and the benefits are good for college students and those with families but it is a very fast paced environment, you deal with a lot of verbal abuse from customers and the mobile order feature is poorly managed, many workers are overworked and aren't compensated for the work they do
优点
Food markout, drink markout, employee discount, bean markout, and healthcare, spotify
缺点
Short breaks, low support

Great benefits, great company, good pay.
Starbucks is probably one of the best places i’ve ever worked out of the 6 customer service jobs i’ve worked. They have outstanding benefits. better than i’ve found anywhere else. they do company wide raises quite frequently. i’ve worked here for less than one year with no promotions and have received a pay increase twice. They cover 20 sessions per year of Lyra therapy. Many other partnerships such as free spotify premium, discounts at sams club, etc . They celebrate your anniversaries and you everyone cares about each other. They have lots of vacation time and if you’re sick they will still pay you with your sick hours. They also have a partner fund that you can apply to receive if something tragic happens to you or your family. many of my co-workers have worked for starbucks for over 15 years which shows a lot to me. Starbucks definitely takes care of their people. However, the barista job alone can be quite stressful. You are usually decently staffed so it’s not horrible, but you must be able to work under pressure for sure. The card tips average around $200/biweekly on my checks and i work roughly 25-30 hours a week. The cash tips are passed out once a week and are usually pretty low. Under $50 pretty much always with the exception of holiday tips. However, unless you’re a shift supervisor, in a management position of some sort, or have been here for a while, you probably won’t be able to live on your own without a second job. 10/10 do recommend starbucks. So lucky to have the opportunity to be a partner!

Great Stepping Stone
I worked here for a decade. Taught me interpersonal communication, confidence, and good work ethic. Unfortunately during my last few years there, corporate management took a direction where they focused on customer happiness first instead of the employees happiness and it backfired. We were often left with skeleton crews working during peak hours and no end to the work in sight. I came home exhausted and with opening employees upset with me and my other closing crew because I didn’t have time to set them up for success, only to close up. Another thing to keep in mind - if you have an issue at work - HR will 99% of the time side with the manager, even it’s 100% not your fault. I’m hoping this has changed since I left.

Good benefits- productive work environment
The work environment keeps you busy and productive. It can be fun to interact with people and the benefits are good with free coffee/food items. Supervisors can be overly demanding and rude at times.

Fast-paced workplace with decent pay per hour and tips
I spent a little over a year working at Starbucks. The volume of customers you deal with on a daily basis is highly dependent on the location you choose and if it has a drive thru. If this is your first time working in coffee I would highly suggest choosing a store without a drive-thru as it will be much easier and less stressful to learn all the new drinks. Most of my coworkers were nice and I got a decent amount of hours. Tips were usually split at the end of the week amongst 14-15 people based on your number of hours. Working at Starbucks can be stressful if you're easily overwhelmed by taking multiple orders or making multiple drinks at once. The workplace culture around most of my coworkers was good but upper management had little respect for who we are and what we provide other than being another body present to help rush orders out. The most enjoyable part of the job was the final 20 minutes of work where you're absolutely exhausted from the day but you know home is just on the horizon. The hardest part of the job is dealing with managers who think it's fun to go sit in the drive-thru and order something as a "secret customer" in the middle of a huge rush.
优点
Free drinks and food, frequent 10 minute and 30 minute breaks, tips
缺点
Splitting tips with several other people, burnout

Right now isn’t the best time to work here. Between labor cuts and cracking down on unions, it’s become very difficult. It used to be great, but new policy is terrible

Its not a hard job, you are rushed for drive thru times. It’s a corporation so rules are always changing. Benefits are good. Depends on what team and management you have.

Starbucks is ok
If you’re only looking to work 4 hour shifts 2 days a week Starbucks is for you. If you’re looking to get scheduled 15 minutes under a limit so you don’t get your break Starbucks is definitely for you. If you love companies that shut down union stores Starbucks is for you. The pay is good for a job that’s half as stressful, if you have bad managers your time will be terrible, and the only thing you have is your amazing friendships that you have while trauma bonding together during your skeleton crew shifts. The job itself can absolutely have great days, but watching multiple people cry over my two years of various stores I think I’m good. They promise you a lot and if you actually can get the hours you want you can have some amazing benefits, but good luck with any kind of consistent schedule unless you are highly specific. They also want you to have a soul touching conversation at the window, but get mad when drive times are too high.
优点
Free drinks on breaks, some free food
缺点
No hours, aggressively rude customers
