Overall good just can be stressful when guests are overwhelming

As a whole the job is great making drinks talking to people etc but there can be extremly rude people as well as just people who believe theyre entilted to better treatment than everyone else. when there becomes many people with this mindset it does become tedious however overall great place to work

Great job culture and steady job pace

I interned as a barista at Starbucks for two months during the summer of 2018. I love the job culture there, and I work with people around my age or sometimes 2-3 years older than me, but I felt comfortable working and the pace was just about right for me, even though we had more customers during the weekends.

Productive and cooperative work place
Great place with friendly coworkers, everyone has been assigned their own duty and it goes very smoothly. It was cool learning about stuff like milk steaming techniques and tasting different coffee blends and etc.

Warm and interesting workplace
I like Starbucks' working environment and partner culture. Everyone is friendly, helps each other, and learns and progresses. Clear division of labour and tacit understanding between partners are the basis for efficient and high-quality work. I have become more and more interested in coffee at work and have learned more about coffee. Providing every cup of coffee with my heart made me meet many customers and became friends. The most interesting is the regular coffee lectures, which can talk to many people who love life and love coffee.

As one of a new face in the real job position is always not easy to fit in, of course, same as me, I did take time to learn. The lucky thing is Starbucks has wild limitation for the fresh people, what I learned is not only how to work, but also what I learned is how to fit your environment where is not in the school anymore, this's meaning a lot for me, and I know getting more experience do need you to spend time on it.

Wage is too low

Starbucks China gives student part-time job such little salary per hour. The company benefit that is very hard to take in action.
The working environment is very light and cheerful. All the partners are very friendly.

Unforgettable working experiences

I worked here only Part-time job in Nanjing, China. But there was only ten stores when i worked here, I worked as a full time partner. I almost worked all the starbucks stores in my hometown when I left. That was a such amazing memory in my life and people always say I was the most perfersonal part-time kid they even seen.

Basically, a typical day at work consist of me coming in and making sure everything is in its right place. What's more, I check in with the previous supervisor to find out any additional information they may have for me before he/she departs. For example, they let me know who needs breaks and who has already had them. Transitioning from a barista to a supervisor really helped put my leadership skills into play. I enjoy putting people in the right positions to be successful, because essentially when they perform well it means that we as upper management are performing well. I would say the hardest part of the job is feeling like you are setting your team up for success. Its sometimes hard to see if your are because you may be use to doing something one way but in reality change might be needed. Lastly, the most enjoyable part of the job is undoubtedly the different connections I have built with the customers. I love the people.

I used to work in Starbucks, it is an amazing place to work, working environment was comfortable and both colleagues and customers are friendly. What I have learned from this work experience is acknowledge I can handle high-pressure and high-speed working environment, and also learned how to communicated with customers and then give them as better customer experience as I can.
