Really gained more out of customer service and sales after working at this job. My favorite part of the job was getting dressed up and learning about makeup. I really saw myself grow while working at this company.

fun but under paid

it was. fun place to work. only thing that sucked was the pay for sure. lots of truck shifts when i was a beauty advisor. good starting job for beauty enthusiasts though

It was more or less, pretty enjoyable year. Would not recommend it as a long term job. The staff can vary, some are very good and friendly others are double crossed.

Unfriendly hairdressers an mgmt has attitude

The most meaningful part of my job is when i quit the salon. Unfriendly and isolating .hairpeople and look at you as if your a threat , which I was, and acted disinterested in making you feel welcomed .one older person was xtra nice .Felt a hostile experience fromOne of the floor mgrs in addition . Clients were nice

Productive and good hours

Being a task associate there is always something to do. Whether it’s doing truck, stocking, picking online orders, planograms, helping guest, there’s always something to do. The tasking job and responsibilities is easy but Sometimes it can be a lot with all that has to be done when we have so little people who task. I have made friends with a lot of the girls at ulta and enjoy working with them. My biggest issue with ulta is the pay.

Terrible management

I got hired as a beauty adviser and the onboarding process was so bad the management didn't even know what to show me and i learned absolutely nothing. I felt like they were clueless at their own jobs and terrible at training new hires. I do not recommend this company at all.

External Theft is rampant, the company doesn’t seem concerned for the safety of their employees. Productive and fun workplace

Overall, good job. If they notice you are hard worker, 9/10 times you will get hours. Only downfall is it is very cliquey with unnecessary drama. Pros is you get employee discount and gratis.

Annoying having to pressure customers into giving their information, signing up for credit cards and the reward program. Some rude customers. Coworkers and managers are okay. Nice discount and some perks

Unsupportive Management

Management was very new to the job as was most of the entire store. One manager wouldn’t tell you the same thing another one would and would punish you for not understanding. Told me I could work up til full time hours at the interview and first week they said no you have to be trained to cashier and can’t just be a tasked. Store was unorganized and gets hit often by organized retail crime where they do nothing to look out for your safety. Overall a terrible experience.

Good pay good hours some Mandatory days that can be good or bad depending on your schedule. The longer you are the the more benefits and raise you get.

Full of cliques

My experience with working at Ulta was if you aren’t a pretty, skinny 20 year old something, you’re gonna feel left out and judged. Managers will stand by and let it all happen too.

Making friends

Overwhelming, they don't care much about mental health, the workplace culture sucks because too much drama goes on there. Alot of liars, rude people.

Ulta was not a bad job but just like any job you will have work drama. the pay is nice for a part time job. Personally i didnt like the register but it was not to bad.

Productive and Great workplace

It's a great part-time for anyone who is still in school. It's a very flexible job and there is open communication and mutual respect. Which contributes to such a great organizational culture.

What is the best part of working at the company?Loved all the girls, work was fun getting to work with makeup and hair care and help people with recommendations.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Being the arch expert, working with clients. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Happy, cheerful, usually fun. Granted it’s a corporation, and you’ll be treated just as such, but the bonuses were generally good, the girls were wonderful and the gratis was so worth it. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Start at 10, have a break at 12, lunch at 2, another break at 4 and done at 6. Very fair and worked great. Worked as a prestige beauty advisor and moved into the Benefit Arch Expert position. Between clients I would wander and help sell, kept busy, was a fun job.

Fun workplace

Long as they don’t try to use you as a sales associate for the whole store it’s cool. Also they try to make you do shipments as well, go to a location that’s not understaffed cause they will try to make you do everything. I was just here to do brows

Fun job

I loved working here and it was great until the week I quit because the new management was not great but the turnover with managers was high and it was only my last one that wasn’t great. Besides that it was fun to work there and learn more

Great place to work!

I thoroughly enjoyed working for Ulta. They valued me as a person and always made sure I was happy at what I was doing. The upper management was always looking for feedback that they put in play.

No complaints. Everything is great. The managers are wonderful and so helpful. The amount of training they give their employees is amazing. They are always trying to stay with the trends.
