People work hard but leadership isn't as engaged as it should be in terms of building a strong culture. Work will encroach on your vacation and personal time.

overall good company, lots of reorganizing

good pay, little room for advancement, good benefits, flexible schedules, great co-workers and a fun set of problems to solve. Culture is almost non-existent due to most working from home now

Toxic Management and Unattainable sales goals

Unattainable quotas, toxic management, shady business practices. Refused to be guilty by association so I left. Coworkers and managers would encourage you to deceive the customer to get more sales

Fun Work place

Providing great customer service is a must. Lot of benefits and time off options. They are serious about metrics performance wise . Great place to advance, there is no favoritism. I loved working at Verizon but unfortunately they had a massive layoff after being thier 7 years plus.

Fun work space

Decent work environment, competitive pay. Great bonuses. Excellent co-workers. Overload of work long hours. can be stressful with the workload. Not much training provided.

Decent place to work.

Retail is retail. The expectations are to hit numbers always. Hours are good for retail however every customer that walks through the door has the expectation you can do anything and everything.

Can be fun

Verizon is a nice place to work. Not a ton of money but it’s ok. Lots of free time to watch movies and relax. Not a hard job at all. Management isn’t great but they don’t bother you that much.

Great work environment

There are many divisions within the company. Overall I have been very satisfied with my sales position. The constant flow of customers (with their many issues) makes your day interesting n fun. Salary plus commission earn you a decent check. Plenty of room for growth if you are coachable.

This is a Great place for those who are self starters and self motivated. It ids fast paced and engaging. There is a lot to learn on the fly and during downtime.

Tech support is not sales

The job description mentioned "occasional selling," but it turns out sales are expected on every call, and half of my performance is evaluated on sales. I've encountered layoffs, lack of support, and tasks for which I haven't received proper training. Despite promises, training keeps getting delayed.

Went downhill

It WAS a great place to work with great benefits. Unfortunately they slowly started wanting more while paying less. It was common to make 85k plus per year as an "average" rep back in 2014. By 2020, you were lucky to make 60k as a high performing rep. They promote on popularity, not qualification.

Overall Verizon is a great place to work. The usual sales jobs complaints like quota, management expectations, and dealing with unruly customers are all there but it’s a solid company.

Growth then change

Great company as far as salary and benefits. I was once in love with my job but after shifts and management it is not the same. The expectations compared to the level of communication and morale has immensely changed.

MANAGERS treat each employee different based on their qualifications. After 3-4 years everyone is qualified

Everyday is different work loads. I just went out and did my job with the highest of quality service. I loved what i did and earned the respect of managers to go out and perform my duties with no questions from management.

This job is a lot of dealing with angry customers. Most of the time they reasonably angry but you do have to have thick skin. Expect to be able to upsell on products

Used to be the core business

core business was excellent to work for prior to the split with wireless. landline side of the business that had fiber to the home prior to streaming services. not much of this part of the business exists now because of verizon wireless and the streaming business. pay and benefits were excellent for all levels of management and the jobs were very interesting.
