About the Role

Are you passionate about international education and eager to support students in achieving their academic goals? Newcastle University is looking for a dedicated and collaborative International Recruitment Officer (China) to join our regional team and play a key role in advancing our Global Strategy in mainland China.

In this role, you’ll help develop and manage relationships with education agents and partners, organise student recruitment activities, and enhance the University’s visibility in China. You’ll also promote INTO Newcastle, our on-campus partner that delivers academic and English preparation programmes to support student success.

What You’ll Do

Student Recruitment & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with education agents and partners to increase student enrolment.
• Deliver agent training, respond to enquiries, and represent the University at student fairs (online and in-person).
• Organise and facilitate student engagement activities, such as offer holder events, pre-departure briefings, and webinars.

Marketing & Communication

• Support the development of promotional materials tailored for the Chinese market.
• Contribute to managing Newcastle University’s Chinese social media platforms to engage with prospective students and partners.
• Assist with implementing marketing and publicity activities, both online and offline, under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work collaboratively with local universities, international schools, and pathway providers to strengthen recruitment pipelines.
• Provide on-the-ground support and coordination for visits to China by Newcastle University staff.

Market Intelligence & Insights

• Gather and analyse market intelligence to inform recruitment strategies and improve results.
