About This Position

The Business Development Director for China will be instrumental in expanding IT Consultis footprint in the Chinese market. This role involves generating leads, building relationships, and securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is a proactive networker, adept at extensive travel and public engagement, and skilled in forging meaningful connections that drive business growth.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Business Development:

  • Attend networking events, chambers of commerce meetings, and industry associations to identify potential leads and clients.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, procurement officers, and decision-makers in target organizations.
  • Conduct cold calling and leverage LinkedIn for outreach to potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Generate new business opportunities aligned with IT Consultis services.

Client Engagement and Relationship Building:

  • Initiate and manage the early stages of client engagement, including presenting IT Consultis value proposition and capabilities.
  • Assist in negotiating and securing initial contracts with new clients.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to client onboarding.

Marketing and Public Relations:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute initiatives that enhance IT Consultis brand presence in China.
  • Represent IT Consultis at industry events, conferences, and public speaking engagements as needed.
  • Create and deliver presentations and pitches to potential clients and partners, ensuring they align with the companys strategic goals.

Team Leadership for Presales:

  • Lead and manage the presales team to support business development activities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Coordinate with technical experts to prepare compelling proposals and demonstrations.
  • Ensure the presales team provides timely and effective support during the sales process.
  • Continuously improve the presales process and strategies to enhance conversion rates and client satisfaction.

Requirements

As an A-player, you will be/have:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the IT or consulting industry.
  • Strong network within the Chinese business community, particularly in sectors relevant to IT consulting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently.
  • Comfort with public speaking and presenting to large audiences.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Keynote or PowerPoint.
  • Outgoing, self-driven, and highly motivated individual.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with digital transformation and IT consulting services.
  • Strong understanding of the Chinese business landscape and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and LinkedIn for lead generation and relationship management.
